BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Job Description: ISP is a National, Commercial Painting Company with an immediate need for a high-energy, success driven Business Development Representative. We are based out of Naperville, Illinois and are a growing company willing to promote from within. We offer benefits, 401K, Profit Sharing and Bonuses. This position reports to the National Sales Manager and requires a self motivated team player who works well independently. Sales experience in the paint industry would be helpful but not a must. Salary is based on education, experience and knowledge of the industry. To that end, we are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to join our team

A successful applicant will be responsible for maximizing sales volume in a new territory through effective use of professional selling practices including prospecting, networking, cold calling, presentations, setting appointments, face to face meetings and closing sales.

Specific Job Expectations:

  • Meet or exceed sales and productivity quotas on a regular basis
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity using effective planning, organizing, and follow-up to acquire prospects and clients
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times; exhibit professionalism in keeping with the ISP Company Values and Vision
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts, strategies and creative solutions for assigned accounts to management.
  • Manage ongoing relationships that results in the customer’s decision to use ISP’s services to help them achieve their own business goals.
  • Build effective sales plans around business objectives and effectively present them to the customer and to our leadership team.
  • Delivering exceptional service to our customers by understanding and proactively responding to their needs

Requirements:

  • Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record for working well under pressure
  • Commitment to meeting daily, weekly and monthly deadlines/quotas
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field and 3+ years of sales experience is required.
